Even Better URL Toolkit is a browser extension that helps you copy, open, extract, clean, and normalize URLs from your browser tabs and text.

Data we collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal data.

Data we process (locally on your device)

The extension may temporarily read:

• Browser tab URLs, only when you choose to copy or extract them.
• Text you paste into the extension UI to extract, normalize, or open URLs.
• Your saved preferences (such as language and formatting) to remember your choices.

All processing happens entirely in your browser and is never transmitted elsewhere.

Network access

The extension does not send data to any external servers and does not include analytics or tracking. It only loads packaged resources included with the extension, such as local translation files.

Permissions explained

• tabs: Required to read URLs from your open tabs when you request tab-based actions.
• storage: Used to save your preferences on your device.
• clipboardWrite: Used to copy URLs to your clipboard when you click copy.
